Amtrak's Capitol Corridor trains traveling between Oakland and San Jose use this line through Niles. Amtrak's Coast Starlight, making no intermediate stops, can use either the Mulford Line, or this line though Niles.

344 North Hayward
- 344 is an arbitrary number used to keep the photos in order.
- North indicates the photo is looking in the northbound direction.
- Hayward is the name of the interlocking. Intermediate signals are identified by their number rather than a name.
